Maanyan Creek Frog

This frog has been reported from southeast Kalimantan, Indonesia by Gonggoli et al. (2025). It is a lowland species, so far found at up to 164 m a.s.l.

According to the original publication the species can be diagnosed by the combination of these characters: A medium sized frog, 45.9 mm in snout-vent length in the
only adult male, 40.4–58.5 mm in adult females. Toes are fully webbed. Tympanum hidden. The doorsal skin of body rugose (rough). The dorsal skin of tibia is densely covered by small warts and coarsely scattered with well-elevated large tubercles. The flap of skin on the outer side of third finger is well-developed and moveable. The inner and outer webbing of fourth toe fairly well excised. The disk of the third finger is not much wider than basal phalanx. The disk of the fourth toe is wider than basal phalanx. The male nuptial pad on the first finger is without minute asperities. The head is longer than wide. The throat is covered with confluent irregular dark gray blotches.

Little has been reported about the natural history of this species. Similar to other relatives in the "kuhlii"-like Limnonectes, it occurs along streams. It seems to tolerate some level of habitat disturbance.
