Leptomantis

The genus Leptomantis in the familiy Rhacophoridae currently contains more than a dozen species. The taxon is distributed from Thailand through various of the Sunda islands and Philippines. The genus summarizes a clade of medium-sized treefrogs formerly included in the genus Rhacophorus. The majority of Leptomantis species is rather slender in body shape. These frogs live high up in the trees and often descend to reproduce in streams; however, some breed in treeholes high above ground. Reproduction includes the construction of foam nests, which, of course, is not exclusive for Leptomantis.
