A small group of stream-adapted frogs. Distributional range includes Borneo, Java, Sumatra. The type species Huia cavitympanum is sister-taxon to the Bornean Meristogenys, rendering the other Huia paraphyletic. Tadpoles are highly specialized and equipped with a gastric sucker (gastromyzophorous). (ASW)
