Asian Common Toads

The 28 currently distinguished species (ASW) of this group of bufonids range from nothern Africa to Asia and southeast Asia. Duttaphrynus species are typical toads. They are stocky, relatively short-legged, and terrestrial. The name honors Sushil Kumar Dutta, a herpetologist from India.
