Horned Frogs

Four dozen southeast Asian species are grouped under the genus Xenophrys.  Externally and in ecology, Xenophrys species are not much different from the other Horned Frogs, Megophrys. New evidence suggests that Xenophrys may not be a natural group (not monophyletic); clearly the taxonomy is not resolved yet.

The distribution includes Peninsular Thailand to islands of Sundaland, Philippines.
