Rentapia everetti

Everett's Tree Toad

Rentapia everetti is a mid-size toad. It is very distinct by its coloration but probably due to its arboreal habits, it is rarely seen. The species inhabits mid-level altitudes in primary and good secondary forest in Sarawak. 

The fingers are long and are slightly dilated terminally. 

Adults range from approximately 70 mm in males to 95 mm in females.

The tadpoles of Rentapia rugosus are unknown. The specimen shown here is a juvenile. 

Another taxon, R. everetti, is now considered a synonym of R. rugosus and no longer treated as valid species.
