Spiny Slender Toad

This rare species was recently discovered and described. It is only known from a small hill near Bintulu.

The Spiny Slender Toad is a small species, males reach only 21 mm snout vent length. Males have black spines under their mandible and peculiar large warts with black spines on their sides. The skin of the back is covered with small and large tubercles. The natural history, tadpoles, females, and even the coloration in life of the Spiny Slender Toad are still unknown.
