Aquatic Toad

The aquatic toad Pseudobufo subasper is the only representative of this genus. This species is highly peculiar as it is aquatic, whereas most other toads are famous for being highly terrestrial, even colonizing subarid or arid regions.

The distribution is restricted to the Malay Peninsula, Borneo, and Sumatra.
