Pedostibes
hosii
is a green toad with irregular purple-brown
blotches forming dorsal and dorsolateral lines. The
limb color is the same as the dorsum, with
purple-brown bars. The dark blotches extend onto
the lips. The lateral sides have irregular
yellowish-white spots. The ventral side is cream
with scatterd dark spots. The ventral sides of the
thighs are slightly pinkish.
The skin above is warty. The parotoid glands are big and longer than wide, and not as angled as in P. hosii.
Adult males are 55-75 mm snout-vent length, females reach 85 mm snout-vent length.

Although it is a toad with climbing capabilities,
the specimen shown here was collected in pitfall
traps during a field survey.
Unlike other toads, which usually stay still and try to camouflage, this frog is rather active and tries to jump away when disturbed.
